Future-Ready Creatives

2025 – 2028 Strategic Plan

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) is proud to launch the comprehensive, collaborative Future-Ready Creatives: MIAD 2025–2028 Strategic Plan. MIAD’s mission to ignite curious minds through art, design and service guides this plan to strengthen our commitment to student success, academic excellence and community impact over the next three years.

MIAD’s core values of creativity, inclusion and innovation, build on the college’s transformation — from the expansion of the Student Success Center to the development of new academic programs and partnerships. The plan identifies three interdependent priorities — People, Programs and Place — that reflect MIAD’s ongoing dedication to providing a workplace-ready, community-connected creative education.

Future-Ready Creatives is a living plan designed to evolve with our college and the world around us. The plan engages, assesses and refines our work to ensure that we remain responsive to emerging student needs, workforce trends and creative opportunities.

Through this shared vision, MIAD reaffirms our role as Wisconsin’s premier college for art and design — preparing future-ready creatives who make a difference in our communities, professions and world.
