People’s Pantry
Grounded in the principles of mutualism* and interdependence,** the People’s Pantry is a service available to ALL students and employees at MIAD. Please take any items you need.
The People’s Pantry provides a limited selection of shelf-stable food items to address short-term hunger or food insecurity. Items are restocked weekly, as available. Anyone experiencing long-term issues accessing food should contact Student Services for assistance or explore FoodShare eligibility through Access WI.
Donations to the People’s Pantry may be brought to the Equity + Inclusion Center (280) at any time.

*Mutualism is an organizational model where voluntary, collaborative exchanges of resources and services for common benefit take place amongst community members to overcome social, economic, and political barriers to meeting common needs.
**Interdependence is a state of mutual dependence or reliance between two or more people or groups. It can also be defined as being interconnected with others, where one’s well-being is influenced by the well-being of others.
