Originals and Echoes is on view at MIAD Gallery at The Ave Nov. 19, 2024 – Feb. 15, 2025!

Join us for the opening reception of Originals and Echoes, presented by NSP200B Singularity & Multiplicity, Friday, November 22nd from 5:00pm–8:00pm at MIAD’s Gallery at the Ave, 301 W. Wisconsin Ave, Suite 104.

NSP200B Singularity and Multiplicity presents an exhibition surrounding aura. Aura, as conceived by Walter Benjamin in his seminal essay “The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction,” is the unique aesthetic authority of an object in time and space. This is further identified through contemporary texts written by bell hooks, Hito Steyerl, and Audre Lorde. The works produced for Originals and Echoes establish how aura is presented in one’s practice.
