10:00-10:15 a.m.: Graduate Check-In
10:15-10:30 a.m.: Welcome & Instructions
10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Graduation Rehearsal
12:00-1:00 p.m.: Lunch, sponsored by the MIAD Alumni Association

Graduation Requirements
Participation Eligibility
To participate in a 2026 graduation ceremony, you must have all major courses completed and 9 credits or less to complete after the spring semester (in summer or fall of the same year). Students with more than 9 credits, will not be eligible to participate until the 2027 graduation ceremony.
Receiving your graduation tickets, cap and gown
You must be in good standing with the Business Office, with a zero balance due or payment arrangement in place. You must be in good standing with the Library and IT as well (all equipment/books returned) to receive your graduation tickets, cap and gown.
Receiving your degree at graduation
- You must meet all graduation requirements.
- You must have a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
- You must return all borrowed materials to the library and/or technology dept.
- You must have a zero balance on your account in the business office. If you have questions regarding your Student Account, please contact Bonnie Murphy, Bursar, at 414-847-3303.
Summer and December diplomas
Summer and December will be available after the summer/fall semester and verification of completed degree requirements. Please confirm your address with the Registrar for delivery of your diploma. You must meet the Business Office requirements noted above.
FAQs
How do I get tickets?
A ticket request form is sent to the graduate. Graduates are able to request up to 6 tickets for the ceremony. Additional ticket requests (more than 6) will be added to a waitlist and distributed as available. Tickets are required to enter the venue.
Will there be a photographer?
Empire Photography will be photographing graduates during the ceremonies.
Where do I pick up my cap and gown and tickets?
Cap & Gown/Ticket Pick-up will take place spring 2026 in the Student Union. More information to come.
Students with business office obligations must see Bonnie Murphy in RL10 first.
I have guests who use wheelchairs or who have mobility issues coming to the Graduation Ceremony. What accommodations exist for them?
- Closest Option – You can drop off your guests before parking at the main entrance on Wells Street at 144 E. Wells Street and there are 4 steps and you are then in the main lobby.
- Second Closest Option is wheelchair accessible and no steps – You can drop off your guests at the Milwaukee Center main entrance at 108 E. Wells street, come to the lobby and someone will greet you and show you how to get to the Pabst Theater.
- Seating – The Pabst theater has seating in the back of the Theater for a limited number of wheelchairs and guests that may not wish go down the steep aisles for seating. Arrive early and give yourself time to get a seat and get situated. You can take a seat in the Theater as early as 8:30 am.
